To support the horticulture industry’s next generation and foster dialogue, the first Young Entrepreneurs' Day will take place ahead of IPM ESSEN on Jan. 26, 2026, in the Congress Centre West, Hall Europa.
With this new format, the horticultural trade fair — running Jan. 27-30, 2026, at the Messe Essen in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany — aims to create a platform for exchange, inspiration and cooperation, motivating young entrepreneurs to learn from each other and jointly develop strategies for a successful future for the industry.
“The Young Entrepreneurs' Day is our way of offering young leaders in the sector a place to meet — as a source of inspiration, a networking platform and a starting point for new perspectives in horticulture,” said Andrea Hölker, project manager of IPM ESSEN.
“The next generation is the future of horticulture. Their ideas, courage and innovative strength are crucial to ensuring the long-term success of our industry,” said Eva Kähler-Theuerkauf, president of the Central Horticultural Association (ZVG) and the Horticultural Association of North Rhine-Westphalia, as well as chair of the IPM Advisory Board.
