Waco, Texas -- Jobe’s Company has announced the appointment of Chris Allen as its new Chief Executive Officer. Allen, 52, a 30-year veteran of the consumer products industry, was most recently President, North America, for Greenworks, a manufacturer of cordless and corded battery-powered outdoor power equipment.
Allen is an experienced leader in the lawn and garden industry with 20 years in the category. Prior to his role at Greenworks, he served in several key executive management roles at Scotts Miracle-Gro. In addition, Allen held executive sales and marketing positions at Techtronics and Char-Broil. Allen earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from The University of Tennessee and his Master’s in Management degree from Antioch University.
“I’m excited to begin my new role with Jobe’s,” said Allen. “The company has a unique portfolio of heritage brands as well as new and innovative brands. I’m looking forward to working with the management team to continue growing the value of the brands for the company.”
