Millville, N.J. — The Espoma Company has welcomed the 1,000th participant into its certified dealer program: Kah Nursery, a garden center servicing the Botkins, Ohio market since 1948.
The Espoma Certified Dealer Program is a program offered to garden centers that allows staff members to learn about plant nutrition and Espoma products. The program consists of seven videos followed by a brief online test. Deanna Baughman, office manager at Kah Nursery, decided to participate in the program to share the educational resources with her staff and to ultimately help her customers become more successful in the garden.
“We have a 9-acre garden center and there’s an Espoma product to fit just about every category we carry,” Baughman said. “We’re streamlining what we offer and focusing only on brands our staff can confidently recommend. We also use Espoma products in our landscape division to reinforce our belief in these products.”
After completing the training, certified dealers will have access to benefits from The Espoma Company — including 24/7 access to training videos, an enhanced dealer listing on the Espoma website, exclusive Espoma apparel and merchandising techniques.
Beyond expanding in-store staff expertise, certified Espoma dealers also have access to digital content. Garden centers are encouraged to share Espoma’s weekly blog content, daily social media posts and DIY videos with their audiences.
