Magnet Works, a provider of indoor and outdoor home décor accessories, will launch its Focus on Local program in January to support specialty retailers and their local communities.
The company will debut 40 customizable designs by artist Patrick Reid O'Brien at the Atlanta, Dallas, and Minneapolis gift markets. Each of the 40 designs will be available on BreezeArt garden flags and MatMates interchangeable mats. Retailers will be able to customize the decorative flags and mats with the name of their state, town, or a favorite local destination.
“With retail giants like Amazon and Target in the mix, it's impossible for specialty retailers to compete solely on price. That's why we focus on keeping the special in specialty," said Curt Todd, CEO of Magnet Works. "Patrick's regional art combined with our localization program will give our retailers a truly unique product."
In the spirit of the Focus on Local program, the company will print the localized flags and mats at its facility in St. Louis. "Local printing helps us better meet the needs of retailers with customized product and create more jobs in our local community," said Todd.
Magnet Works has also developed a Shop Local flag and doormat to help retailers support and encourage their community's Shop Local efforts. The flag will be available in January with the rest of the Focus on Local program.
