The March 2017 issue of Garden Center magazine can now be read online as a web version and as a digital edition.
In the March issue, we got to know Tangletown Gardens, a retailer in Minneapolis, Minn. known for its farm-to-table restaurant, Wise Acres Eatery; a community supported agriculture program and landscaping division. Owners Dean Engelmann and Scott Endres described the process of reinventing their business to adapt to market, with a strong focus on enhancing the customer experience at Tangletown Gardens.
We also explored new ways to promote ornamental grasses, presented ideas for merchandising in small storefronts, discussed strategies for capitalizing on the year-round appeal of birding, looking into how to use lighting to best present your products, and delved into the latest trends surrounding sweet and hot peppers.
Our contributing columnists also offered their thoughts on manners in modern retail and the importance of active listening in business relationships.
