McHutchison has announced the promotion of Kim Burns to the role of nursery director of vendor management.
Burns originally joined the company in September 2021 as vendor program manager. Since then, she's played a pivotal role in enhancing McHutchison’s vendor programs and driving strategic growth within the nursery category.
“Kim’s promotion reflects the significant contributions that she has made in a short time and our confidence in her leadership going forward,” said McHutchison President Ken Turrentine. “Her depth of experience and strategic insight will continue to be instrumental as we evolve our nursery category and strengthen supplier partnerships.”
Burns has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, with leadership experience in sales, marketing, operations and procurement. Her career includes progressive roles with and for some of the largest and most respected suppliers in the industry, giving her a 360-degree understanding of vendor relations and category management.
In her new role, Burns will continue to lead vendor strategy and program development, driving innovation, efficiency and excellence across the nursery supply chain.
