Monrovia celebrated the New Year watching the primetime debut of Jamie Durie, host of HGTV’s “The Outdoor Room.” Jamie is an award-winning garden designer and popular television host from Australia. In his new show, Jamie travels the globe for inspiration; then back in the U.S., he and his crew set to work, creating fantastic outdoor spaces for a few lucky homeowners. The show’s crew chose Monrovia’s plants and soil for each episode.
The “Mid-Century Outdoors” episode, scheduled to air Jan. 9 at 9 p.m. Eastern, will feature Monrovia’s Japanese blueberry tree – Shogun Series, Austral Gem bird's nest fern, queen palm, Hong Kong orchid tree, Imperial taro, Black Magic elephant ear and dwarf variegated banana.
