Some northwest Montana gardening centers report a big increase in shoppers buying medical marijuana supplies, NBC KECI13 reported.
Workers at a Kalispell garden center report one or two customeers a week asked for supplies to grow marijuana a few years ago. Now, managers see close to twenty a day and report the customers are from all age groups.
"Are there ethical dilemmas with it? Yes. You never know in what capacity... whether they're using it for a good purpose or maybe not for such a good purpose. There's no way for us to tell," says Hooper's Garden Center manager Michael Connolly.
Legislators are meeting later this month in Helena to discuss regulatory problems and law enforcement issues the state is facing with medical marijuana.
