Myers Industries acquires ITML

 Myers Industries Inc. in Akron , Ohio , has purchased ITML Horticultural Products Inc., a private company based in Brantford , Ontario , Canada , for approximately $110.1 million. ITML designs and manufactures plastic containers and related products for commercial growers.

ITML has more than 800 employees and six facilities in the United States and Canada . The transaction increases Myers’ grower and distributor market share in Canada and in the southern and western United States .

ITML will be integrated into Myers’ Lawn and Garden Segment. Myers’ products include Dillen Products, Pro Cal and Listo Products. Myers manufactures polymer products for agricultural, automotive, commercial and consumer markets. Its 2005 net sales were $903.7 million.
