The second annual Sweet Melissa Fashion Show at the 2012 National Green Centre is a new plant event like no other.
For 2012 the National Green Centre will feature the trendiest new plants under the lights, on the runway and in front of buyers. With professional models, DJ, runway, lights and cameras, this is the place for plants to see and be seen.
New plants like Bailey Nurseries’ Endless Summer Bella Anna and Ball Horticultural Company’s Petunia Black Velvet rocked the sold-out runway this year. The 2012 show will offer another chance for plant companies to promote their best new offerings. However, entry is limited to the first 50 new plants registered to be part of the program. Each new plant entry will be:
• Featured in pre-show and post-show National Green Centre newsletters via articles and/or advertisements
• Featured on www.nationalgreencentre.org on the Fashion Show tab, as well as in a website ad
• Highlighted in the National Green Centre's social media conversations leading up to the 2012 National Green Centre
Entry fees are: $300 per plant, two new plant entries for $500, or up to five new plants for an entry fee of $1,000. This includes a $50 donation to the Sweet Melissa Fund. For entry information email Katie at exhibitsmgr@nationalgreencentre.org.
The Sweet Melissa Fashion Show benefits the Sweet Melissa Fund that helps lung transplant patients and their families. It is an organization that is near to the hearts of noted plantsman and 2011 National Green Centre speaker Dr. Michael Dirr and his wife Bonnie.
