The New Jersey Green Industry Council (NJGIC) has a new leadership team.
The council named Lori Jenssen executive director and Chris Sherrington as board president. (The NJGIC Executive Team reorganizes biannually.)
Jenssen brings more than 23 years of experience in the nonprofit world and association management, including her current and continuing role as executive director of the New Jersey Nursery & Landscape Association (NJNLA).
She holds a master’s degree in public administration and has served as executive director of the New Jersey Forestry Association and the international American Mosquito Control Association.
Sherrington is director of technical services & supply chain management for Lawn Doctor (Happinest) as well as
chair of the National Association of Landscape Professionals’ (NALP) Government
Affairs Council.
He brings more than 23 years of industry
expertise, specializing in optimizing operational efficiencies and driving
innovation.
“Environmental

generations”, Sherrington said. “By embracing sustainable practices and
fostering a deep respect for nature, we become guardians of the Earth’s
resources, ensuring that they remain vibrant and abundant. True stewardship
