In an effort to educate small business owners about the new standardized EMV technology, which is replacing magnetic strip credit processing, the National Federation of Independent Business is hosting a webinar on the EMV system Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 12 p.m. ET.
Register for the webinar on the NFIB website. The webinar is hosted by Craig Tieken, VP of Products for TransFirst. Craig oversees TransFirst’s product strategy including mobile payments, POS solutions, eCommerce, merchant entitlements and Value Added services.
EMV, or the Europay, Mastercard and Visa global payment system, is intended to reduce point-of-sale fraud. Use of EMV is a mandatory transition with a deadline for retailers in October of this year.
