March 29, 2016 – Downers Grove, Ill. – National Garden Bureau (NGB), the non-profit organization promoting gardening on behalf of the horticulture industry and its members, is again hosting five garden communicators in their travels during the 2016 California Spring Trials.
In 2015, for the first time, NGB arranged for prominent garden bloggers/writers to travel the CA Spring Trials in order to introduce them to the origination point of many of their favorite plants.
Garden writers as a group are very important to the industry, as they are key communicators with the gardening public. Following last year’s success, another five popular bloggers will meet the many breeding companies that participate in the California Spring Trials and blog about the event and the varieties they see.
The garden communicators attending the 2016 Spring Trials are:
- Amy Andrychowicz – Minnesota – Blog: Get Busy Gardening
- Kylee Baumlee – Ohio – Blog: Our Little Acre
- Melinda Myers – Wisconsin – Blog: Melinda Myers Growing Among Friends
- Jenny Peterson – Texas – Blog: J Peterson Garden Design
- Christina Salwitz – Washington – Blog: Personal Garden Coach
During the week of April 9-14, 2016, follow the activities and photos by using the hashtag #NGBplantnerds on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
