Oasis Grower Solutions, a division of Smithers-Oasis, announced that Jason Deschaine has joined the Oasis Grower Solutions team as territory sales manager for the northeast U.S. sales territory, effective Dec. 8, 2025.
“I’m very pleased to have Jason as part of our team at Oasis Grower Solutions,” said Smithers-Oasis Director of Global Grower Operations & Research Vijay Rapaka. “I’m confident that his diverse background in the industry and solid industry relationships in the northeast will be great assets as we continue to serve our customers and bring our innovative substrates and ancillary products to a broader market.”
With 30 years of sales and territory management in horticulture-related industries, Deschaine’s career encompasses many industry segments, including distributors, independent nurseries and garden centers, big-box stores, and landscape supply wholesalers.
Deschaine, who resides in Connecticut, earned his B.S. in business administration at Merrimack College in Andover, Massachusetts. He will report directly to Rapaka in this new role.
As northeast territory sales manager, Deschaine will be responsible for the region currently managed by Sharon Warschauer, who is retiring Dec. 31, 2025.
“Sharon has been a tremendous asset to our Oasis Grower Solutions team since joining us in January 2020. Her contributions have made a lasting impact,” Rapaka said. “She will be greatly missed, but we feel fortunate to be the final stop in her 45-year career in the horticulture industry.”
Rapaka added that Deschaine and Warschauer will work closely until her retirement to ensure a seamless transition for Oasis Grower Solutions customers in the region.
