Petitti Garden Centers, will open a location in Erie Commons Shopping Center in Mentor, Ohio, The News-Herald reported.
Retail portions of the business will be within an existing 19,500-square-foot building near the Chuck E. Cheese restaurant. An A-frame greenhouse, occupying about 22,644 square feet, will be built on the west side of the building, according to city documents.
An open garden center also will occupy about 24,697 square feet of space in front of the greenhouse and will extend 150 feet into the existing asphalt parking lot.
Two canopy structures will provide access among the greenhouse, retail building and garden center.
"I think there's a real need," owner Angelo Petitti said. "We've had a lot of people call for years looking for us to open up a garden center there."
Petitti said they grow many of their products in the Madison and Perry area.
