Planterra, a national-award-winning landscape firm that specializes in interior landscape design, recently opened a new state-of-the-art conservatory and retail store win West Bloomfield Township, Mich. The 23,000-square-foot facility houses the largest collection of exotic plants, tropical ornamental foliage, orchids and decorative pottery in the region, according to company officials.
Planterra has put together a YouTube video highlighting unique and exciting features at the new facility, which is almost as much a botanical garden as it is retail store.
According to a story in the Oakland Press reporting on the Planterra ribbon cutting ceremony in September, the conservatory comprises three adjoining glass greenhouse structures with European hipped roof lines. It is designed to offer a botanical garden-like experience with a retail setting.
