New York - May 5, 2016 – GWA: The Association of Garden Communicators is preparing for its 68th Annual Conference & Expo. This year, Atlanta, Ga., will host the event, which is taking place Sept. 16-19. The conference include garden tours, education sessions and networking.
15 learning sessions will cover topics such as horticulture, writing, technology, business and publishing. Conference attendees will include professional communicators from across the green industry including book authors, bloggers, staff editors, syndicated columnists, freelance writers, photographers, speakers, landscape designers, television and radio personalities, consultants, and publishers.
"We are excited to welcome two very exciting guests as this year’s keynote speakers, Georgia natives Coach Vince Dooley and Dr. Michael A. Dirr. Our hope is attendees will walk away with inspired with a renewed passion for the green industry and a trove of fresh ideas and new stories,” says Kirk R. Brown, GWA president.
To close out the conference, the GWA Awards & Honors Dinner on Monday, Sept. 19 will recognize and celebrate both GWA Media Awards winners and GWA Honors, including fellows, honorary members, allied trade honors, hall of fame inductees, and the new Emergent Communicator Award.
Following the conference, attendees will have the option to visit the State Botanical Gardens of Georgia and three private gardens, including the homes of Coach Vince Dooley and Michael Dirr, in Athens, GA.
