Mother's Day proved to be a $30.3 billion spend day for retailers with the consumer averaging $124 on gifts.
The most generous shoppers live in Texas, according to a Finder.com report, spending an average of $248, followed by New Yorkers who doled out $225 and consumers in Washington who spent $210.
