Denver, Colo. – PRO Group Inc. announced Dec. 21 that President and CEO Steve Synnott purchased the privately held company from Gary Cosgrave.
Synnott, a 20-year veteran of PRO Group, bought it for an undisclosed price, according to a news release. Cosgrave’s parents, Paul and Hazel, founded the Denver-based merchandising and marketing organization in 1953.
Cosgrave, the company's chairman of the board, will remain involved in PRO Group’s strategic planning, and the company's operations or staff will not change, according to the news release.
“Steve Synnott has demonstrated his leadership capabilities and integrity," Cosgrave said. "I have confidence in Steve's commitment to leverage the group's marketing strength. The sale ensures perpetuation of the company my family started.”
PRO Group serves independent retailers and has 26 member distributors and more than 350 key suppliers.
