The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted SummerWinds Garden Centers the trademark to its name, according to an article on Home Channel News.
The company operates several SummerWinds Nursery locations in California, Arizona and Missouri, and has its headquarters in Boise, Idaho.
Garden Center magazine recently featured the president of the retailer, Frank Benzing, in an article about overcoming adversity. The SummerWinds location in San Jose, Calif., was demolished by a fire, but Benzing had been proactive and was already prepared for the worst. Read more here about how Benzing handled the situation.
