Pam Danziger will share the latest demographic data that describes the luxury market, including projections for the affluent consumer market segment through 2020, during a webinar at noon EST on March 4. In addition, she will review the latest results of Unity Marketing's Luxury Tracking Survey, conducted in January 2010.
"Marketing starts with understanding the consumer," Danziger said. "And understanding the customers starts with demographics, which is the study of the physical characteristics of a target market, including age, sex, marital status, family size, education, income, geographic location.
"The Census Bureau holds a wealth of information about the demographics of the affluent market segment, but you have to dig deeply to uncover it. In this webinar I will share the insights I discovered in the latest Census and what the findings mean for luxury brands and marketers through 2020," Danziger said.
In this webinar, Pam will address:
• How big is the affluent consumer market? How much of the total dollars in the U.S. economy do they control?
• Why is the affluent consumer market important not just to luxury marketers but to all marketers of consumer goods and services, from mass to class?
• How do we segment the affluent consumer market? What demographics characteristics are linked with affluence?
• Which segments of the affluent market are growing faster and which spend more money on luxury in the future?
• What about diversity in the affluent market? How important are minority consumers to luxury marketers now and through 2020?
• What do the population projections tell us about the size of the affluent market in the next five-ten years? Is the affluent market aging at the same rate as the U.S. population as a whole?
• Where are the best markets in the country to reach affluent consumers? In what regions of the country are the share of affluent consumers growing fastest?
The webinar will also give an overview of the latest results of Unity Marketing's Luxury Tracking Survey, including what the survey results predict for 2010, including what sectors of the luxury market are growing and which are still struggling in the recession.
The webinar will last approximately 45 minutes with time for questions and answers. Subscription fee for the webinar is $249, and all subscribers will also receive a copy of the detail slides used in the presentation.
