There has been a surge in new, stylish plant lights and moisture sensors that can both help your customers better care for their plants and you increase your sales.
With LED (light-emitting diode) technology advancing considerably in the last few years; there are any number of new LED plant lights and indoor gardening systems emerging on the market. While I personally haven’t been sold on the idea of using LED fixtures to grow full quality plants indoors, due to the light spectrum, they are improving by leaps and bounds.
Word on the street is that the Lighthouse Hydroponics had some great options to choose from. Their 135W LED Grow Light Lighthouse Hydro BlackStar (quite the mouthful), provides good results based on consumer reviews. Kessil also offers up some high-tech LED options with multiple spectrum options. LUMIGROW® has introduced a handy vertical LED tube called the LUMIBARTM , which would replace 4 to 6 T5 high-output fluorescent tubes. I do love the T5’s, but could be convinced to try one of these new LEDs, as I’m sure your customers could be as well.
These types of lights can offer both major energy savings and a reduced footprint for those looking to grow thriving indoor plants. Now, they aren’t inexpensive, but could offer up a healthy average sale for a serious indoor gardener or gadget addict.
