USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service has allocated $39 million for fiscal year 2006 to be distributed to 56
U.S.
trade organizations to promote domestic agricultural products overseas. The allocations will be distributed through three programs: Foreign Market Development cooperator program, Quality Samples program and Technical Assistance for Specialty Crops program.
California Association of Nurseries and
Garden
Centers
has received $88,200 through the TASC program. Under the TASC program, USDA provides funds to eligible organizations to address barriers to export of
U.S.
specialty crops. These include most cultivated plants and their products.
