The National Garden Bureau announced that the 2026 Green Thumb Award competition is now open for voting.
The awards, established in 1998, recognize new plant varieties and gardening products that are unique, innovative and offer effective solutions to common gardening problems.
The horticulture industry is invited to participate in selecting the People’s Choice Awards by casting their votes on the NGB website. Voters can select their favorites across six categories:
- Annuals
- Perennials
- Shrubs
- Edibles
- Houseplants
- Garden Products
Winners for both the "Professional’s Choice" and "People’s Choice" awards will be announced in January 2026.
