Wallitsch Garden Center in Louisville, Ky., has added a large new greenhouse that has increased the size of the business by threefold, Courier-Journal.com reported.
The garden center is now operated by the second generation, Jim and Mary Wallitsch. Mary said they spent about $400,000, none of it public money, on the greenhouse that has about 14,000 square feet of space. She said the business previously had about 8,000 square feet under roof.
The greenhouse has a retractable roof and will allow the garden center “to expand our season,” she said.
