The Western Nursery & Landscape Association (WNLA), which is celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2015, is accepting nominations for the 2015 Western Awards, which honors individuals whose work has been of great benefit to the industry. The nominations are due Friday, Nov. 21. Winners will be recognized during the 125th Anniversary Celebration Reception Jan. 3, 2015, at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center. The jury will consist of the current members of the WNLA Board of Directors.
WNLA will honor winners with awards in the following categories:
Western Legend Award
A person who should be recognized for a lifetime of sustained and significant professional achievement and public service to the Western Nursery & Landscape Association and/or the green industry.
Employee of the Year Award
Employees who should be recognized for their exemplary service in their daily work and for their efforts to advance our industry. One of those employees will be recognized at the 125th Anniversary Celebration Reception.
Outstanding State Association Leader Award
Many individuals have demonstrated a dedication to the work and the mission of our industry through exceptional efforts on behalf of the Kansas Nursery & Landscape Association, Missouri Landscape & Nursery Association, Iowa Nursery & Landscape Association, Nebraska Nursery & Landscape Association and the Oklahoma Nursery & Landscape Association. One of the Awards presented at the 125th Anniversary Celebration will recognize one of these leaders. Each State Association's Board of Directors is being asked to nominate a Leader from their respective organization.
