The Wisconsin Green Industry Federation's online auction began on March 17 and raised nearly $1,500 in its first two days. The auction, which benefits WGIF, runs to March 31. You don't need to live in Wisconsin to bid or win, but some items must be picked up from Wisconsin locations. Auction items range from garden products, to services, to gift cards, to collectibles and memorabilia. Currently 187 items are up for bidding, from B&B trees to an autographed Milwaukee Bucks basketball.
Proceeds will support the Wisconsin Green Industry Federation (WGIF); the unified voice that represents Wisconsin’s green industry on regulatory and legislative issues affecting our state and green industry businesses. Winning bidders will be notified, within seven days within the close of the auction on March 31.
Send an email to johnl@bluemels.com with your item(s) and description. You can also make a cash donation to WGIF on the auction site, www.biddingforgood.com/WGIF.
The associations that comprise the WGIF are the Commercial Flower Growers of Wisconsin (CFGW), “Gardens Beautiful” Garden Centers (GBGC), Lawns of Wisconsin Network (LaWN), Wisconsin Nursery & Landscape Association (WNLA), Wisconsin Sod Producers Association (WSPA), and the Wisconsin Christmas Tree Producers Association (WCTPA).
