Woodstock Chimes gives back with its Charitable Chimes program

Created in 1979 by Grammy award-winning Garry Kvistad, Woodstock Chimes is an internationally recognized brand that offers a unique variety of musical gifts that inspire, entertain and now give back. The Woodstock Charitable Chimes Program was established to offer the wonderful sounds of select Woodstock Chimes with an equally wonderful bonus — a give-back feature. A portion of the sale of each Woodstock Charitable Chime is given to a deserving cause. With residual effects of the pandemic still looming, Woodstock Chimes introduced the Chimes of Comfort into their philanthropic efforts. 

In the case of the Chimes of Comfort, a generous donation from each sale is made to support the Hospice Foundation of America, a nonprofit organization that educates the public and health care professional about death, dying and grief. It also funds research about hospice care, supports specific hospice initiatives, and financially assists hospice providers in times of disaster.

Woodstock Chimes’ Chimes of Comfort plays the familiar, soothing tones heard in the opening measures of Amazing Grace. One of America’s best-loved hymns, Amazing Grace offers hope in times of difficulty and transition.  The hymn’s lyrics were written by Englishman John Newton who underwent a spiritual awakening while caught in a deadly storm at sea. His message of hope and redemption from over 200 years ago still resonates today and complements the painstaking efforts of hospice professionals everywhere. 

Woodstock Chimes offers several variations of their best-selling Amazing Grace chime including those with engraved, meaningful windcatchers; those in a variety of finishes; and even memorial chimes with a special compartment to store memories of a loved one. The Amazing Grace chime is available in assorted sizes; the Chimes of Comfort measures 24” long and features aluminum tubes, teak-finished ash wood, and a removable windcatcher.
