The 'Vermillionaire' Cuphea hybrid from Pleasant View Gardens and Proven Winners is a new market introduction for 2015 and a hummingbird magnet. The heat and humidity tolerant, low-maintenance plant produces hot orange flowers. Though it is drought tolerant, it can also tolerate high water and fertilizer levels. The plant was one of six winners at the Retailers’ Choice Awards, presented by The Garden Center Group at New England Grows 2015. Not prone to oedema.
