Watermelon has a whole new look with the ‘Faerie’ cultivar. The non-traditional watermelon has a creamy yellow rind with thin stripes. Inside, there’s sweet red flesh with a crisp texture. ‘Faerie’ produces throughout the season after just 72 days. The vines are vigorous, but only spread to 11 feet, meaning it takes up less space in the garden. Each 7 to 8 inch fruit weighs 4 to 6 pounds. It is insect and disease tolerant.
