Key features from breeder:
The Staircase series is the first ever lupine to not only have no requirements on the number of hours of daylight to bloom, but they also rebloom all season until the night temperatures reach above 72. While lupine traditionally only bloom their second year due to the requirement for vernalization, the Staircase series requires no cooling, so all parts of the country are able to enjoy the impressive spikes of flower color, as it blooms repeatedly spring through fall. The series comes in red, yellow, white, blue, Dupline Orange and Dupline Rose. (“Dupline” indicates bicolor, or Duo-Lupine.)
Consumer care:
Lupine Staircase has very low feed requirements, making it easy to care for, especially for beginning gardeners. Removal of spent flowers will speed up new bud set.
Display tip:
Color matching containers to blooms makes an eye-catching end cap display. Position for heavy sales in early spring, as their weather tolerance and long-lasting flowers make an ideal season opener.
