Skagit Horticulture has announced the appointment of Scott Crownover to the role of president and chief executive officer (CEO), effective immediately. Crownover has more than 35 years of experience in the horticulture industry and most recently served as the president of national plant brokerage firm, McHutchison Horticultural Distributors, before their sale to Dümmen Orange in 2017.
Scott was brought on to the Skagit Horticulture team in 2018 as chief operations officer to develop new strategies. Crownover will now oversee all divisions in the Skagit Horticulture portfolio, which span from unrooted cuttings to finished plants in ornamental, landscape and specialty agriculture, throughout their four locations in Washington and California.
